Incentive is the means to stimulate the work of restaurant attendants, and two methods are generally used in the specific implementation: one is material incentive; the other is spiritual incentive
1、 Material incentive
(1) Basic income incentive
The basic income incentive is the basic source of the living expenses of restaurant service staff, and the wage is the main part.
There are two ways to use salary as incentive: first, to measure the contribution of service staff and the level of business with salary, so as to encourage the service staff to make more contributions and study business to obtain corresponding remuneration; second, reform the wage system, using the principle of promotion and selection of the best, floating salary as the incentive means.
(2) Bonus incentive
Theoretically speaking, the bonus is the reward for excess labor. According to the management of employees, the bonus system should be formulated to encourage the enthusiasm of employees.
2、 Spiritual reward
It is an important measure to make the restaurant staff love the team and radiate their enthusiasm. To a certain extent, the effect of spiritual incentive will surpass material incentive, and the effect will be more significant.
(1) Growth motivation
Restaurant managers should create more opportunities for restaurant attendants to display their talents and make the best of their talents. In short, it is to let the service staff find their own value through their own efforts in their daily work, so that they have a sense of belonging in their work. What's more, it is to comply with the wishes of the self realization of the restaurant attendants, help them solve the problem of their insufficient ability, actively provide them with various opportunities to gain insight and intelligence, and cultivate and strengthen their self-confidence in their work.
(2) Caring and encouraging
Managers should know as much as possible about all aspects of the restaurant attendants, such as physical condition, family situation, relatives' physical condition, personal work development expectation, strengths and weaknesses in ability, home address, etc., and often give care and necessary help. People need to indulge in feelings between people, which will make the restaurant staff feel that their superiors do not regard themselves as a working machine, but really concern themselves.
The results show that the effect of caring and encouraging methods on the feelings of restaurant service staff is positive, strong and lasting, and it can have an impact on the cultivation of restaurant service staff's work enthusiasm and good work motivation.
